Learning Disability - About Our Services
Our Learning Disability services are based on the principles of Valuing People facilitating rehabilitation through the Recovery Model. The goal for each patient is to support them on the journey to the greatest independence possible in the least restricted environment through step down to community placements offering social integration and inclusion.
Our services are based at Pinetree Court Independent Hospital and Woodlands residential unit with nursing within Beechwood College. Specialist care is provided for both men and women over the age of 18 in gender specific environments to promote rehabilitation.
Our care pathways offer services to meet the needs of individuals with learning disability who may also have:

Personality Disorder
Autistic Spectrum Disorder
Complex Physical Health Needs
Care is based on comprehensive clinical and risk assessments which inform treatment plans and clinically effective interventions. Our learning disability services are based on our holistic approach to meet the psychological, social and physical health needs of our patients. Our ethnically diverse staff teams enable us to meet a very wide range of ethnic and cultural needs.
