Elaine Chaplin

Clinical Lead/ Registered Arts Therapist (drama) & Registered Occupational Therapist

Elaine trained as a nurse within Learning Disabilities over 30 years ago and with this as her foundation she then went on to train as a Drama therapist and an Occupational Therapist. Her clinical experience has been in Autism, Challenging behaviour and later in Mental Health. She has attended the Advanced DBT courses and CBT Mindfulness stress reduction course.

Her interests include Sensory integration applications and how important sensory issues are to adults within Mental Health.

Elaine has attended postgraduate courses in health care management, self-harm and Sensory integration. She is also listed as a contributor to Learning Disabilities’ Towards inclusion ‘5th Edition 2007 and 2006.
